Mustique is probably the one remaining Caribbean island free of hassle and hustle, no beggars, no beach or street vendors, no unemployment, no casinos, high rise hotels, night clubs, discos or golf courses and a 20 m.p.h. speed limit for the few cars on the island.
There is a fine stable of thoroughbred horses for that sunset gallop along the beach, wonderful hiking and nature trails, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, water sports and tennis. Mustique enjoys a warm climate, with an average temperature range of 75 to 85 degrees (24 to 29 c) throughout the year.
Any time of the year is wonderful here. There is no "out of season", being far enough south to avoid hurricanes. Some of the best times to be here are the summer months of June, July & August when all our beautiful flora is in full bloom. Mustique is essentially composed of seven valleys each with a deserted white sand beach fringed by palm and coconut trees surrounded by a series of coral reefs.
Whilst famous for its "celebrity" home owners, it is truly an island paradise, one that will make you return again & again. For those seeking some relief from the tranquillity of Mustique we can arrange for a private air-conditioned 50 foot cabin cruiser for trips to nearby islands and the Tobago Keys. |
